When we first moved in I sent my fiance to pay the security deposit and get the keys, After they accepted the money they refused to give him the keys until we both came down to sign the papers. So he asked for the deposit back so when we return to sign we will pay again, they refused. He asked atleast for a reciept of payment and they also refused saying that they dont issue reciepts. The rental office is full of young imature, inexperienced, fake and rude girls. We had a psychotic neighbor who night after night would come up to our door and punch it and yell at us for walking around our apartment, when we brought this concern for our saftey to the office we were told "that is apartment living", we had to continue to call the police after that to handle the situation. The parking was terrible, there was no where near enough parking spaces not to mention inside this gated community my car was broken into several times and my radio ripped out. They would do contruction inside the parking lot and assign you and empty parking spot to park in only to find when you woke up they forgot to communicate that to the towing company and refused to cover any costs for having your car towed! this happend twice in one year!! Our Air conditioner never worked and it made a awful load noise, when maintenance came to fix it, it would work for about a week and then go back to the same noise over and over. After one year we decided to move out giving our notice 2 weeks before our lease was up and we were told that it was no problem and to return to sign the papers when it was convenient. We returned 4 days before our lease was up and we were told that we had to pay for the next 2 weeks because the papers were never signed and they had no proof we had given them a notice. we even talked to the property manager who we origionally gave our notice to and she said she remembered us meeting with her but that if we didnt sign their was nothing she could do for us- we asked to sign the papers the first time and she refused to let us saying it had to be no more then 1 week prior to moving out. After we moved out we got a month later in the mail all these bogus fees for carpet cleaning, painting, counter replacements, and carpet repair!! That apartment was barely lived in and we have tons of pictures from the day we moved out!! they are refusing to give us our $600. deposit and in fact are saying we owe them $400. additional to cover the cost of repairs!! we never paid our rent late even once! DO NOT RENT FROM ARNEL MANAGEMENT!!
